According to the statement made by the Ministry, Kasapoğlu, who met with young people in Ankara, drew attention to the positive contribution of bicycle use to the environment and human health.

Minister Kasapoğlu stated that it has been understood how sensitive the world is based on balances, especially with the coronavirus epidemic.
“We have understood very well in the last year that we need to move away from fossil fuels and turn to sustainable energy sources for the continuation of our world and living life. However, each of our citizens should be on active action for a body resistant to diseases, for health and for our future.”

Kasapoğlu emphasized that they attach great importance to cycling as a government and approach it as a state project.
“As Turkey, we have been holding the world’s only cycling marathon under the auspices of the Presidency for 56 years. We are taking great strides in cycling as a country. Turkey’s first Olympic velodrome, the foundation of which we laid in the past months, is rapidly rising.”
Youth and Sports Minister Kasapoğlu also announced that he will give away 100 bicycles from his social media account as part of the World Bicycle Day activities.
